Event Review: Botanist and Barrel's Funk Down at the Farm

In August of 1969 we had Woodstock. A music festival held on a dairy farm in the small town of Bethel, New York. In April of 2019 we had Funk Down at the Farm. An inaugural festival held on a blueberry farm in Cedar Grove, North Carolina, dedicated to wild and funky beverages.

At Woodstock guests were graced with the live performances of some of that eras musical greats such as Joan Baez, The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker and Jimi Hendrix. At Funk Down at the Farm guests were graced with some funky and wild beers crafted by breweries such as Bond Brothers, Fonta Flora, Wooden Robot, Resident Culture and Zillicoah.

Many brave souls weathered the storm and mud to taste the many funky sours, ciders and spirits that were all brought together by Botanist and Barrel. Some of our highlights included the spirts from Eda Rhyne Distillery, Holman Distillery, Botanist and Barrel and Wooden Robot.

Below are some views from the events as well as the description of the beverages they were pouring.
